These services assist farmers in organizing themselves into institutional forms whether known as Produce Groups (PGs), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), or Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) so that they can start to effectively dealing with markets for both the purchase of inputs and sale of produce in a collective manner to derive benefit to its members.
Types of Services
While promoting an FPO, the focus of the institutional form will be on the farmer's primary type of activity, and the institution's measurable objectives will be designed accordingly.
